Working at Heights Training Course (MLITSD Approved)

Program Overview:

The CFTC Working at Heights Program is designed for workers who may perform construction related activities and at times be required to work at heights where fall protection is required. This MLITSD Approved Program provides workers and supervisors with the necessary knowledge required to safely work at heights and prevent fall related accidents. Participants will be instructed on how to correctly select, inspect, maintain and use a wide variety of fall protection components and systems.


Compliance:

Program is in compliance with Ontario regulation 213/91 section 26 of the Construction regulations and meets or exceeds all requirements of both the New Working at Heights Program Standard and Training Provider Standard.


Program Content:

  1. Identification of fall hazards
  2. Equipment selection
  3. Understanding anchorage points
  4. Fall protection systems and components
  5. Basic energy dissipation principles
  6. Calculating fall clearances
  7. Rescue plan importance
  8. Standards and regulations
  9. Body support selection and application
  10. Component inspection and maintenance

Duration & Location:

One day in-class program includes both theory and practical components and is available at our training centre or on-site at your facility.

  1. 8 Hours. Recommended start time is 8:30 a.m.
  2. On Site Training is Available for Groups of 8 or more.
  3. Group rates are available for companies booking full classes (12 Participants).
